Life is a book with endless chapters, not everything can go up to your liking, some things can go out of control, but still this is your life, your journey, so you get to decide your ending .

An ancient Greek philosopher named “Epictetus” came up with something referred to as “The dichotomy of control”, and it states that in that life we have 2 things:

  1. things in our control
  2. things that are not in our control

So what you should do is to put all your effort and energy in the things that you can get a hold of. For instance, you can not control events, but you can always control the way you respond to them .

Ex: You failed your college entrance exam (out of your control), so either you grieve over what went out of your will, or put your energy and power to study hard and do better in the next round (in your control).

Choose your next step carefully because it will surely impact you in one way or another, and make sure to put effort in what you can control to maintain a peaceful and stress free life.
